We're losing concert culture Flashing strobe lights, smoke and fire, pounding bass that leaves your ears ringing during the dark, quiet drive down the highway back home. Concert tees, digi pics, overpriced arena pizza that burns your mouth. I'm obsessed with every aspect of going to concerts but my mom's bank account really isn't. Concert ticket prices are at an all-time high post-COVID because of dynamic pricing and ticket scalpers. AP Econ was never my strong suit, but while I can understand that high demand and limited supply leads to increased prices, there is no justification for the 80.5% increase in ticket prices between 2021 and 2024 alone.
